However, you will require batteries to be able to use the Caller Display feature on your phone. 1. Lift off the battery compartment cover by pulling back the plastic latch. 2. Insert 3 x AA alkaline batteries (not supplied) according to the polarity markings inside the battery compartment. 3. Replace the battery cover.

Enter the telephone number you want, it will be shown in the display and dialled. End a call 1. Replace the handset to end a call. Or Press the hook switch to make a follow on call. Receive a call 1. Stored numbers can be up to 16 digits. 1. Pick up the handset and press . 2. Enter the telephone number you want to store. The number is shown on the display on the back of the handset for checking.

Caller Display If you subscribe to a Caller Display service you can see your caller’s number on your handset’s display before you answer the call.

When you have viewed all calls, END OF LIST will be displayed. ■ If no button is pressed for 20 seconds, the display will return to idle. Dial a calls list number 1. Press or repeatedly to open the calls list, then scroll to the entry you want. 2. Press to dial the displayed number. LIFT HANDSET is displayed.

Using other battery types could destroy the battery casing. ■ Never dispose of batteries in a fire. There is a serious risk of explosion and/or the release of hazardous chemicals. ■ Clean the phone with a damp (not wet) cloth, or an anti-static wipe. Never use household polish as this will damage the product. Never use a dry cloth as this may cause a static shock.

The conditions of this guarantee are: ■ The guarantee shall only apply to defects that occur within the 12 month guarantee period. ■ Proof of purchase is required. ■ The equipment is returned to BT or its agent as instructed.

All items of telephone equipment have a Ringer Equivalence Number (REN), which is used to calculate the number of items which may be connected to any other telephone line. Your BT Duet 60 has a REN of 1. A total REN of 4 is allowed. If the total REN of 4 is exceeded, the telephone may not ring. With different telephone types there is no guarantee of ringing, even when the REN is less than 4.
BT Duet 60 – Edition 06 – 04.02.04 – 5720 15 Technical information Switchboard external line access code You may need to enter an access code (e.g. 9) in order to get an outside line. So that the switchboard has time to pick up an outside line, you may also need to add a pause after the access code. A pause lasts 4 seconds. To insert a pause 1. Begin storing/dialling a number and press where a pause is required.
