An extension that is not in the group is not permitted to set or cancel a Group Divert.
Setting Group Divert
• From the Idle menu scroll until Group Divert is displayed
• Select Group divert.
• Select the group for which you wish to divert calls.
• The extension may be in more than one group. A solid box indicates a group that has a
divert set.
• Select the type of divert (All Calls, on busy or no answer).
• Specify the destination for the diverted calls:
• Enter an extension number, or select the required extension from the list if you
want to redirect all the group calls to another extension.
• Select Divert to VM to redirect calls to the group voicemail. The group must be
allocated voicemail for this option to be displayed.
• Enter 9 followed by an external number if you want to redirect calls to an external
number followed by Confirm.
Note: By default all groups are prohibited from diverting calls to external numbers. Please
refer to the Administration Guide for instructions on programming groups to allow external
divert.
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone or a compatible standard telephone, to use
Group Divert:
• Dial the Group Divert code.
• 792: Group Divert All Calls
• 793: Group Divert On Busy
• 794: Group Divert No Answer
• Dial the group number (180 – 199).
• Dial the destination number and #.
Cancelling Group Divert
If Group Divert All Calls is set, all the systemphones in the group display the prompt Cancel
Group Divert.
• Press Group Divert.
The Display will show the groups associated with the extension. A solid diamond beside a
group name indicates that a Divert is set for that group.
