The caller’s number will appear on the display of all systemphones programmed to ring
for incoming calls.
If a name is associated with the number in either the CLI store or the system speed-dial
store the name will be displayed. If a name is associated in both of these stores the CLI
store name is presented.
Diverting Calls: Extension Divert
Diverting all calls from your extension
You can set divert to automatically redirect all your incoming calls to:
Ring at another extension.
Ring at an external number.
Go straight to your voicemail.
To divert all Calls:
From the Idle menu, scroll until Divert is displayed.
Select Divert.
Select Divert all.
Enter an internal number or select the required extension from the list if you want to redirect
all your calls to another extension.
Enter 9 followed by an external number if you want to divert external calls to an external
number. Select Confirm.
Extensions should be programmed to allow External Divert so this feature can be used. By
default all extensions are restricted from diverting or transferring external calls to an
external number. Please refer to the Administration guide for the programming instructions.
Select Divert to VM to redirect calls to voicemail.
A broken tone will be heard at your extension until Divert All Calls is cancelled.
To cancel Divert:
From the Idle menu, scroll until Cancel Divert is displayed.
Select Cancel Divert.
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone or a compatible standard telephone, to
divert all calls:
To an extension dial 732 followed by the extension number and #.
To an external number dial 732 9 and the external number and #.
