Deflecting a call to another extension
When your systemphone is ringing:
Select Deflect the Call on the display.
Select a free extension from the extension list presented on the display.
The call rings the selected extension and stops ringing at your telephone. If you attempt to
deflect a call to an unavailable extension it will continue to ring your telephone.
Deflecting a call to voicemail
To deflect an incoming call to voicemail, when your systemphone is ringing:
Select Deflect to VM on the display.
The call is redirected to:
Your personal mailbox if it is a personal call.
The group mailbox if it is a group call.
Caller Display Service (CDS)
The Caller Display Service (CDS) allows the telephone numbers of callers to the system to be
displayed on all telephones programmed to ring for incoming calls.
You must subscribe to the BT Caller Display service (CDS) to avail of the facility.
By default all analogue lines are programmed not to receive the calling number information.
Please refer to the Administration manual for instructions on programming analogue lines o
receive the CDS information
A caller may choose to withhold their identity. In this case, the display will show
Number Withheld instead of the caller’s number or name.
If more than one caller is calling at any one time, the number displayed will be that of the
first call in the queue. When this call is answered by one of the ringing systemphones the
number of the next call in the queue will appear on the displays of the other ringing
systemphones.
How a caller’s name is displayed at your extension
BT Quantum allows you to associate names with caller numbers and to display the names
instead of the numbers. The names or numbers are displayed as follows:
