While on a call press Recall (R) or (
) on your telephone.
Dial the extension number.
To return to the first call and place the second call on hold:
Press Recall (R) or (
) and dial 2.
To return to the held call and release the active call:
Press Recall (R) or (
) and wait, or press Recall (R) or ( ) and dial 1.
Making an External Consultation
While on a call you can contact an external number to make an enquiry. To do so on a
systemphone:
While on a call scroll until External Consult is displayed.
Select External Consult.
Select a free line and dial the number.
You can also select a number from the system or personal speed-dial list. When a
number is selected it is dialled on a free line.
When the call is answered, you can go back and forth between the two calls.
Select Return and Hold on the display each time you want to return to the held call and
hold the current call.
Select Return and Relea on the display when you want to return to the held call and
release the current call
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone or a compatible standard telephone:
While on a call press Recall (R) or (
) on your telephone.
Dial the line access code 9 or 760 - 769 and the external number.
To return to the held call and place the current call on hold
Press Recall (R) or (
) and dial 2.
To return to the held call and release the current call
Press Recall (R) or (
) and wait, or press Recall (R) or ( ) and dial 1.
Deflecting calls
Deflect allows you to manually redirect an incoming call without answering it. You can
deflect a call to another extension or to voicemail.
