At the start of a conference call a single tone is presented to all parties to indicate
that the call is a conference call.
Holding an External Conference Call
On a BT systemphone, to hold include an external number in a conference call:
When on an external call, scroll until External Conference is displayed.
Select External Confer.
Select a free line from the display and dial the external number.
When the call is answered, select Conference on the display.

Note: An external conference call ties up two exchange lines.
On a BT 8528 systemphones, Q DECT telephones, Q phones and compatible standard
telephones, to hold a conference call:
When on a call, press Recall (R) or (
).
Place the second call.
When it is answered press Recall (R) or (
) and dial 3.
Consultation calls
Making an Internal Consultation
While on a call you can contact an extension to make an enquiry. To do so on a
systemphone:
While on a call scroll until Internal Consultation is displayed.
Select Internal Consultation.
Select or dial the extension.
When the call is answered you can go back and forth between the two calls.
Select Return and Hold on the display each time you want to return to the held call and
hold the current call.
Select Return and Relea on the display when you want to return to the held call and
release the current call
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone or a compatible standard telephone, you
can contact another extension to make an enquiry. To do so:
