Call waiting from external calls
If you are on a call, and your extension receives another external call a call waiting indication
is given to your telephone.
On a systemphone the display flashes the message Call Waiting –Line X that indicates the
line the call is on.
You can also programme the phone to hear Call Waiting tone. By default this tone is not
presented to any extension. Please refer to the Administration Guide for instructions on
programming Call Waiting Tone.
Call waiting tone is not provided on the BT 5330 and BT 5320 systemphones.
To select the second call:
• Press the line key associated with the second call.
The first call will be placed on hold. If you hang up the first call, the waiting call will ring your
telephone.
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone, Q phone or a compatible standard
telephone, to place the original call on hold press Recall (R) or (
) and hang up the
telephone. (Dial 719 to return to the call placed on hold).
Conference calls
You can hold a three-way conference call:
• Between three extensions.
• Between two extensions and an external number.
• Between two external numbers and an extension.
Holding an Internal Conference Call
• When on a call scroll until Internal Conference is displayed.
• Select Internal Confer.
• Select the extension to be included in the conference.
• When the extension answers, select Conference on the display.
