Select Enter A/C Code from the idle menu.
Enter a four-digit code. You will hear dial tone.
Dial the external number as usual.
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone or a compatible standard telephone, to
enter an account code, dial 796 followed by the four-digit code. A free line is selected in line
group 1, normally accessed by dialling 9.
Entering the Account Code during a call
On a BT systemphone, to enter an account code during a call:
When on a call, select Enter A/C Code from the display. The call is placed on hold.
Enter a four-digit code. The call is automatically reconnected.
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone, Q phone or a compatible standard
telephone, to enter an account code during a call, dial R797 followed by the four-digit code.
If a code has not been entered either before or during a call, the option to enter the code is
displayed on the systemphone for 10 seconds after the call is completed.
Entering the Account Code after the call
On a BT systemphone to enter an account code after a call:
Select Enter A/C Code from the display.
Enter a four-digit code.
On a BT 8528 systemphone, Q DECT telephone, Q phone or a compatible standard
telephone, to enter an account code after a call, dial 796 followed by the four-digit code.
Note: If you place a second call for external consultation, external transfer or external
conference, an account code cannot be entered for the second call.
Account Codes – Mandatory mode
In Mandatory mode the extension must enter the account code before making an external
call.
When the Forced Account Code feature is programmed for an extension, Enter Account
Code appears on the systemphone idle menu.
