This allows you to make internal calls between two handsets while a third is making an external call. Registering additional handsets If you purchase new handsets to use with your current Diverse 4010 Executive, they will not be pre-registered to a base station. You will need to do this before you can use them.

There are no batteries in the handset. Make sure that the power supply is plugged in at the base and switched on. Make sure that the rechargeable batteries (included) are fitted in the handset correctly. Switch the handset off and then back on again, place the handset on to the base again and leave for approx.

Call barring may be set. Switch off call barring (see page 46). Your cannot hear your caller. The LEFT navigation button has been pressed and the microphone is muted. Press to switch the microphone back on. The incoming caller’s number is not displayed even though you have Caller Display.

To set the dialling mode You need only adjust this setting if your switchboard does not operate with the pre-set tone dialling. You can change the dial mode to pulse dialling. A total REN of 4 is allowed per telephone line.

During your call: Menu Enter the code 8 9 1 6.

Menu Important When storing numbers in the Directory, you still need to enter the switchboard access code first. The code you store here is always dialled automatically before telephone numbers in the caller list and the emergency numbers.

Addendum IMPORTANT IMPORTANT With your Diverse Executive you can send and receive (**) SMS Text Messages. Telephone numbers with the 0911 prefix are used for the SMS Service. 0911 numbers are charged at 12p for the initial connection and then at local call rate thereafter. One SMS message is sent on each connection. (**) Messages from mobile phones can currently only be accepted from the BT Cellnet Network.
If you do not wish to be disturbed at a certain time of the day, you can arrange for your SMS messages to be delivered between your preferred hours. To arrange this facility, please call 0911 023 5013 and leave a message clearly stating: • Your name. • Your full telephone number (inc. dialling code) that your Diverse Executive is connected to. • The start time and the end time for your messages to be delivered (e.g. Start time 9.00am, end time 10.00pm).
