OPERATION AND TEST
Ensure that the area is well ventilated before performing a test.
Make sure that the battery connections are clean. If necessary, clean them using a wire
brush. Any presence of oxidation between the tester terminals and the battery connectors
or between the battery connectors and the battery terminals reduces the effectiveness
of the tester.
If the battery is out of the vehicle:
Connect the negative plug (black) to the negative terminal of the battery.
Connect the positive plug (red) to the positive terminal of the battery.
If the battery is in the vehicle:
As there may be some electricity between the generator and the battery, called floating
electricity, if the battery tester is connected directly to the battery, only the floating power
will be tested, not the power inside the battery, so the result is inaccurate.
Therefore, before connecting the tester to the battery, it is better to ignite rst, turn on
the headlights to remove the floating electricity. After that make sure that the ignition
and the consumers are switched off.
Connect the negative plug (black) to the negative terminal of the battery.
Connect the positive plug (red) to the positive terminal of the battery.
