C. PROCEDURE FOR FILLING BATTERY WITH ACID
Place the electrolyte container upside down with the 6 sealed
areas in line with the 6 ller ports of the battery.
Push the container down strongly enough to break the seals.
Air bubbles should come up from ports.
Note: Do not tilt the container as the electrolyte flow may be interrupted.
D. CHECKING THE ELECTROLYTE FLOW
Make sure air bubbles are coming up as stated in slep 3 above.
Leave the container in this state for 20 minutes or longer.
Note: If there is no air bubbles coming up from the ller ports,
tap the bottom of the container two or three times.
Never remove the container from the battery.
Never cut the joints with nippers or the like.
E. PULLING OUT THE CONTAINER
Be certain that all the electrolyte has flowed out. Tap the bottom in the same way as step 4 if there is any electrolyte left in the
container. Now pull the container gently out of the battery.
F. SEALING THE BATTERY
Fit the strip cap plug tightly into the ller ports.
Make sure the strip is at the same level as the top of the battery.
The ll-up is now complete.
Never remove the caps, no add any water or electrolyte.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION
(A) This battery is a fully charged and sealed before rst use, integrating a venting valve. It contains non-floating electrolyte
and any gas produced during use is fully absorbed within the battery, ensuring that this battery is totally Maintenance Free.
(B) As this battery was activated before installation, it is essential that the battery stands upright during minimum 60 minutes
before installation on the vehicle. This allows the electrolyte to permeate into internal materials.
(C) Under no circumstances should the Sealing Plug be removed.
(D) The Venting Valve Opening must not be obstructed.
FITTING
(A) In order to optimize the life and power of your battery, an initial charge is highly recommended. (refer to ’’Charging’’ section)
(B) Always t in accordance with vehicle manufacturer’s directions.
(C) Positive and Negative terminals must be connected to their correct terminals.
CHARGING
(A) Never exceed a charging current greater than 50% of the battery capacity. Charging too quickly or overcharging can
cause damages.
(B) If the battery becomes hot to the touch, stop the charging and allow it to cool down before recharging.
(C) Always remove the battery from the vehicle prior to charging.
(D) Charge the battery with a Motorcycle battery charger that suits for this size/type of battery with an output current of
1/10th of the battery’s rated capacity.
(E) Let the battery settle for 1 or 2 hours after charging and before checking the voltage. If the voltage is less than 12.8 volts,
an additional charge is necessary.
MAINTENANCE
(A) As this battery is fully sealed and activated at the factory, there is no maintenance by way of topping up fluid levels.
This is the reason why one must never attempt to open this battery.
(B) If this battery has not been used for a quite long time, check the voltage and recharge as required and described in the
’’Charging’’ section.
(C) As some tted equipment draws current even when the vehicle is not being used, the battery may require a charge even
after a relatively short period of inactivity.
(D) Keep the connecting poles clean and securely fastened.
