SYMPTOM CAUSE SOLUTION
Printer keeps stopping and
starting every few pieces.
Postal Bundle Pause is
enabled or set incorrectly.
The SOH character is
being sent to the printer.
Disable Postal Bundle Pause or correct the
settings.
Do a HEX Dump of the problem addresses.
Examine for a SOH character (01) in the data.
Remove the SOH character from the data.
Envelope jams
(Paper Jam Error )
Media out of spec.
Print Head Holder
Assemblies set to low for
this media.
Minimum thickness of media is 0.003” (0.00762
cm).
Turn the Control Knob to raise up the Print Head
Holder Assemblies.
Print Quality Problems
(No print)
Ink Jet Cartridge problems
Printing on belts or floor,
address location set off the
media
Print Head Holder broken
Sensor is dirty.
Purge ink jet cartridge.
Clean cartridge with soft cotton cloth and water.
Change to a known good cartridge.
Correct position with Address Layout Menu
Call Service Representative.
Clean sensors with canned air or soft cotton cloth.
Non Uniform Print Quality Print Cartridge not
installed right
Print Head Holder broken
Take the Print Cartridge out and reinstall into
Print Head Assembly.
Call Service Representative.
Ink Streaking on Media Print Head Holder
Assemblies set to low for
this media.
Adjustable wipers set
incorrectly
Turn the Control Knob clockwise to raise the
Print Head
Move wipers to area without ink.
