Liquid Solenoid Valve — This accessory is an electrically op-
erated shutoff valve that is installed at the outdoor unit to stop
and start refrigerant flow in response to compressor operation.
The valve maintains a column of refrigerant in the liquid line be-
tween compressor operating cycles and is required for certain
long-line applications and to improve system performance.
SUGGESTED USE:
• With 538A units to achieve maximum efficiency and on all
long-line applications (over 100 ft).
