INSTRUCTIONS FOR USE
FIELD CUT RIGID STEM
De-energize circuit before installation.
Secure backplate to a J-Box (J-Box and mounting hardware supplied by
others) for use with 3-1/2” and 4” octagonal or square recessed junction
boxes with 2-3/4’’ mounting hole spacing. (Appropriate device ring cover
may be required and to be supplied by others.)
Properly ground backplate and canopy in accordance with all local and
national electrical codes.
Connect primary voltage supply to the line and neutral leads. Refer to
product label for required input voltage.
Attach canopy and tighten phillips head screws.
Attach quick disconnect from canopy to xture. Assemble xture by
screwing on to canopy.
Energize circuit and test for proper operation.
Rotate and pivot xture to desired position.
Remove top locking ring using 1.5mm allen key and cut rigid stem to
desired length. NOTE: Add 1-1/8’’ to measurement for stem length that
recedes into canopy.
Measure 3/16’’ from top of stem and mark one side of stem only. Use 1/8’’
drill bit to drill a hole on one side only.
Feed electrical through rigid stem and cut wires to required length.
Insert rigid stem through canopy and install top locking ring to stem using
1.5mm allen key.
Tighten lower canopy screw using 1.5mm allen key.
Loosen (do not remove) the (2) phillips screws to separate backplate from
canopy and set assembly aside.
