3.Replacethedamagedboardwithanewone.Reassemblethefloor(Fig.40).

1.Checkreplacementboardfordamage,sizeandfit.
2.Markdamagedboard11/2"(3.81cm)fromendsandsides.Drill3/16"(4.76mm)holesincorners
andatreliefcuts(Fig.41).
3.Setsawdepthtoboardthickness.Cutalonglinesandremovecentersection.Makereliefcutsusing
drilledholesasvisiblestop.
4.Carefullyliftandpullcenterlengthcutfirst,thenworkintocornerstoremoveendpieceslast.
5.IfthefloorwasinstalledwithArmstrongLaminateGlue,cleanfactoryedgesusingasharpchisel.
Removegluefromtopofgrooveusingatongueandgroovecleanertoolorasmallpieceoflaminate
withtongueedge.
6.Preparereplacementboardbyremovingbottomofgrooveonendandside(Fig.42).
7.Carefullyremovetonguefromendofboardwithsharputilityknife.
8.Cleanareathoroughlyandtestfit.Checkforhighedgesandadjustfitusing120gritsandpaper.
9.ApplyArmstrongLaminateGluetotopoftongueandbottomofgroove.
