ELEMENTARY SAFETY RULES
1. Before handling, always check that your Rie is not loaded.
2. Always keep your Rie with the safety catch in the «ON» position when you are not ring, even if
you are sure that the gun is empty.
3. Never point your gun at anybody, even if you are certain that it is empty.
4. Never re without knowing exactly where the point of impact is located. Only shoot downwards
towards solid targets.
Watch out for ricochets: Never shoot at water or rocks. Be especially careful when shooting on hard
or frozen ground.
5. Only use ammunition of the calibre marked on the right-hand side of your gun barrel not only for
safety reasons, but also for ballistic performance.
6. In your own interests, as well as those of your gun, never let any foreign body enter the barrel.
Earth, snow, etc can create dangerous overpressures.
7. Always unload your gun when it is not in use and during transport.
8. Always use a gun lock when you put your gun away.

Its principle of operation is based on using a part of the energy provided by the combustion gasses to activate
the semi-automatic operating cycle.
Your BAR Match rie is the fruit of Browning’s 40 years and more experience in semi-automatic ries.
If its perfect balance essentially ensues from the well thought-out distribution of masses in movement, it is
the very principle of its gas-assisted operation that provides it with its extraordinary smoothness and reduced
recoil on the shoulder.
The cold hammered barrel allied with the 7 lug bolt gives your rie unmatched accuracy.
Operation of your BAR Match has been tested in our works with a wide range of cartridges available on the
European market.
OPERATION
The extremely simple principle of operation is based on diverting a part of the combustion gasses to a piston.
Under the gas pressure, the piston moves backwards and pushes the moving parts (bolt and breech) towards
