EXTERNAL METAL SURFACES
The blueing of the metal does not, of itself, constitue a protection against cor-
rosion; it must be protected against humidity and perspiration from the hands,
which is often acid. To do this, spray Legia Spray on the external metal parts of
the gun and wipe o any excess with a clean rag. All nger marks must disappear.
Repeat this operation following a shoot or after handling the gun at any time.
ACTION PARTS
Never try to reach the ring and ejection action parts yourself. At the end of each
season or if the gun has fallen in the water, take it to a competent gunsmith for
inspection and renewal of its lubrication.
WOODS
A little Legia Spray, a non-drying linseed oil or good quality furniture polish from
time to time will nourish the wood and allow it to retain ifs ne appearance Apply
the product sparingly, using a lint-free cloth.
STORAGE
As a matter of principle, keep your guns and ammunition in separate places, out
of reach of children.
Your shotgun should be stored in a dry, moderately ventilated place far from
sources of strong heat, so that the woods can lose any absorbed moisture with-
out warping or cracking.
The shotgun should only be put away in its case if both gun and case are com-
pletely dry. The springs are designed to remain stressed without losing any of
their strength, even over extended periods. It is thus not necessary to uncock the
ring or ejection hammers.
Ideally, ammunition should be stored at a temperature of 21°C in not too dry an
atmosphere (about 60 % humidity).
IDENTIFICATION MARKS
The chokes are indicated on the left side of each barrel and can only be seen
when the gun is broken:
* full choke
*- 3/4 choke
** 1/2 choke
**- 1/4 choke
**S Skeet
*** Cylinder
The serial number is engraved:
- on the action frame (beneath the top lever),
- on the barrels.
PROOF TESTING
The Browning 25 shotguns carry higher proof test marks of the Liege Proof House
(1.370 bars for the 12 bore, 1.310 bars for the 20 bore, 1 .020 bars for the 16 bore
and 1.080 bars for the 28 bore) on the barrels and in the action frame.
GUARANTEE
Your Browning 25 is guaranteed according to the terms and conditions listed on
the guarantee certi cate provided with the gun.
Any shotgun returned to us for repair under the terms of the guarantee must be
accompanied by the «customep» leaf of the certi cate lled in by the gunsmith.
