FIRING
WARNING
DO NOT USE UNORTHODOX METHODS OF AIMING
YOU WILL HAVE NOTICED THAT, WHEN LOADING THE PISTOL, THE SLIDE OVERRUNS THE END OF
THE RECEIVER BY A GOOD CENTIMETRE (ABOUT 1/2’’) WHEN IT MOVES BACKWARDS (FIGURE 14).
TO PREVENT THE SLIDE FROM CAUSING ANY INJURY WHEN IT MOVES BACKWARDS AFTER FIRING,
KEEP THE PISTOL WELL AWAY FROM YOUR EYES AND FACE AND POSITION YOUR HAND SO THAT IT
IS NOT HIT BY THE SLIDE.
1) Load a cartridge into the chamber as shown above.
Put the manual safety catch in the «safety on» position.
If the hammer is in the «down» position, point the muzzle in a safe direction, keep your ngers
away from the trigger, cock the hammer with your thumb and put the manual safety catch in the
«safety on» position.
2) If there is a cartridge in the chamber and the hammer is in the fully cocked position, you just have
to lower the safety catch to the «safety o» position for the pistol to be ready to re.
3) When you are ready to re, lower the manual safety catch to the «safety o» position.
4) Take aim and pull the trigger.
5) After a cartridge has been red, the slide moves backward, ejects the spent cartridge case and
loads a new cartridge into the chamber from the magazine.
If you want to re a second shot, take aim and pull the trigger again.
When the last cartridge has been red and ejected, the slide is held open by the slide catch.
If you wish to continue ring, continue to point 6.
WHEN YOU HAVE FINISHED FIRING AND THE SLIDE IS IN THE BACK POSITION, EJECT THE MAGA-
ZINE AND MAKE SURE THAT THERE ARE NO CARTRIDGES LEFT IN IT.
IF ANY CARTRIDGES REMAIN IN YOUR MAGAZINE, UNLOAD THEM AS DESCRIBED IN THE «UN-
LOADING» PARAGRAPH.
MAKE A VISUAL CHECK TO MAKE SURE THERE IS NO CARTRIDGE LEFT IN THE CHAMBER.
PUT THE MANUAL SAFETY CATCH BACK TO THE «SAFETY ON» POSITION.
6) Eject the empty magazine and inspect the chamber to make sure it is empty, before loading a full
magazine into the pistol.
7) Close the slide by lowering the slide catch.
8) Take aim and pull the trigger.
9) Follow the instructions beginning at point 5 above.
UNLOADING
WARNING
WHEN UNLOADING YOUR PISTOL, ALWAYS KEEP THE MUZZLE AIMED IN A SAFE DIRECTION AND
KEEP YOUR FINGERS AWAY FROM THE TRIGGER.
FAILURE TO RESPECT THESE WARNINGS MAY LEAD TO SERIOUS INJURY OR EVEN DEATH.
UNLOADING THE PISTOL
1) Push on the magazine catch to extract the magazine. Remember, merely removing the magazine
does not mean that the chamber is empty.
2) If the slide is not open, pull it backwards and eject any cartridge that may be in the chamber.
Lock the slide in the back position by raising the slide catch.
