Using the Brother Machine with Your PC
The MFC-9750 is a 2 in 1 multi-function center—it’s a Copier and Printer.
Before you can print from Windows
®
on your PC, you must first follow the
steps in this chapter to connect the Brother machine to your computer and
to install the Brother printer driver from the bundled CD-ROM.
Before You Install Brother Drivers
If you have a USB cable (For Windows
®
98 users only), see “Connecting
the Brother MFC-9750 to a PC With a USB Cable” in this chapter.
If you don’t have a USB cable, see “Connecting the Brother MFC-9750
to a PC Using a Parallel Cable” in this chapter.

Recommended system requirements for the communication software
suite provided are:

Workstation Version 4.0
IBM PC Pentium 120 (200 recommended) or higher
16 MB Ram [32 MB Highly Recommeded]
50 MB of Hard Disk Space
CD Rom Drive
NOTE: Use only a shielded IEEE 1284 compliant Interface cable that is,
less than 6 feet long (1.8 meters), or a USB cable.
