Connecting an external or
extension telephone 6
You can connect a separate telephone to
your machine as shown in the diagram.
Connect the telephone line cord to the jack
labeled EXT inside the machine.
Before you connect the external telephone,
remove the protective cap (3) from the EXT.

NOTE
(MFC-J650DW)
Carefully guide the telephone line cord
and out the back of the machine.
(MFC-J870DW and MFC-J875DW)
We recommend that you guide the
telephone line cord from the EXT. jack out
the right side of the machine.
Remove the protective cap (1) from the
right side of the machine, and insert it into
(2) so that it is not lost.
Carefully guide the telephone line cord
from the EXT. jack into the cable channel
and out the right side of the machine.
