o While holding the paper tray in place,
pull out the paper support until it locks in
the open position, and then unfold the
paper support flap. Make sure you pull
out the paper support until it locks into
place.
IMPORTANT
DO NOT use the paper support flap for
Legal size paper.
p Re-connect the power cord.
NOTE
If there is a repeat paper jam, a small
piece of paper may be stuck in the
machine. (See Additional paper jam clear
operations on page 115.)

a Unplug the machine from the AC power
outlet.
b Open the document cover and remove
the Disc Tray.
c Close the document cover.
d Pull the paper tray (1) completely out of
the machine.
e Open the Disc Guide.
f Place both hands under the plastic tabs
on both sides of the machine to lift the
scanner cover into the open position.
