Packing and Shipping the Machine
Whenever you transport the machine, use the packing materials that came with the machine. If you
do not pack the machine correctly, you could void your warranty.

Unplug the machine from the telephone wall socket.

Unplug the machine from the mains socket.

Unplug the Parallel cable or USB cable from the machine.

Open the front cover.

Lock the scanner lock lever.
The blue scanner lock lever is on the left side of the machine. Press it backward to lock it.

Remove the drum unit assembly.
Do not unplug the machine until a print job is finished.
Damage caused to the machine by failure to lock the scanner lock lever
before moving and shipping will not be covered under your warranty.
Remove the drum unit and toner cartridge assembly. Leave the toner
cartridge installed in the drum unit.
