Confirm your network environment
The setup process will be different depending on your network environment.
Infrastructure Mode
If your wireless access point (A) does not support SecureEasySetup™, Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ or AOSS™ , follow the
instructions, on page 36.
Installation using SecureEasySetup™, Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ or AOSS™ .
If your wireless access point (A) supports SecureEasySetup™, Wi-Fi Protected Setup™ or AOSS™ , you do not need
to use a computer to configure the machine. The access point (router) and your machine can automatically negotiate
using the SecureEasySetup™ procedure.

Configuration using the PIN Method of Wi-Fi Protected Setup™
If your wireless access point(A) supports Wi-Fi Protected Setup™, you can also configure using the PIN Method of Wi-Fi
Protected Setup™. For instructions, see the Network User’s Guide on the CD-ROM.
