Step 1 Setting Up the MFC Attach the ADF 1 Document Output Support 3 Attach the ADF Document Output Support. Do NOT connect the interface cable. Connecting the interface cable is done during the software installation process. Check that the paper is flat in the tray and below the maximum paper mark. Pull the paper tray completely out of the MFC. Maximum paper mark While pressing the paper guide release lever, slide the adjusters to fit the paper size. Check that the guides are firmly in the slots.

If you are using the optional NC-2200w External Wireless Print/Scan Server, follow installation steps 1 to 3 in the NC-2200w Quick Setup Guide first. 3 Insert the supplied CD-ROM for Macintosh® into your CD-ROM drive.

■ For Network Users Installing the BRAdmin Professional Configuration Utility (Windows® only) The BRAdmin Professional utility is designed to manage your Brother network connected devices such as network-ready Multifunction devices and/or network-ready printers in a Local Area Network (LAN) environment. BRAdmin Professional can also be used to manage devices from other manufacturers whose products support SNMP (Simple Network Management Protocol).
Start BRAdmin Professional, and select TCP/IP. 3 Double-click the new device. 4 Enter the IP Address, Subnet Mask and Gateway, and then click the OK button. 5 The address information will be saved to the printer. Windows NT® 4.0 Parallel Select Search Active Devices from the Devices menu. BRAdmin will search for new devices automatically.

External Wireless Print/Scan Server External Print Server NC-2200w NC-2100p If you are going to connect the MFC to your wireless network, purchase the optional Wireless print/scan server (802.11b).
