13 - 21 TROUBLESHOOTING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE

Lift the scanner cover to release the lock. Gently push the
scanner cover support down and close the scanner cover.

Unplug the machine from the telephone wall jack and remove
the telephone line cord from machine.

Unplug the machine from the AC power outlet.

Unplug the interface cable from the machine, if it is connected.

If your machine has a handset, remove it and the handset curled
cord.

Wrap the machine in the bag and place it in the original carton
with the original packing material.
If you are packing the machine for the Brother Exchange
Service, keep these items and return only the machine.
