FRONT PANEL SETUP 3 - 9

Host Name
You can register the machine name on the Network. This name is
often referred to as a NetBIOS name; it will be the name that is
registered by the WINS server on your network. Brother
recommends the name BRN_XXXXXX (where XXXXXX is the last
six digits of the Ethernet address) (up to 15 characters).

Press Menu/Set, 5, 1, 5. (4, 1, 5 for MFC-5440CN)

Select 1 to change. Enter the Host Name.

Press Menu/Set.

Press Stop/Exit.
(For DCP-310CN)

Press Menu.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select 3.LAN.
Press Set.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select 1.Setup TCP/IP.
Press Set.

Press ▲ or ▼ to select 5.Host Name.
Press Set.

The Host Name will be displayed.

Press Stop/Exit.
DCP-310CN cannot change the Host Name from the control
panel menu, however the BRAdmin Professional utility
enables you to change the IP Address. (
