20 - 4 TROUBLESHOOTING AND ROUTINE MAINTENANCE
Printer Jam or Paper Jam
Remove the jammed paper depending on where it is jammed in the MFC.
Paper is jammed in the multi-purpose sheet feeder.
1 Remove any paper
from the multi-
purpose sheet feeder
that is not jammed.
2 Pull up the jammed
paper to remove it.
Note
If it is difficult to pull
the jammed paper, try
to pull it while pushing
down the Paper Release
Lever.
Note
To improve the reliability of paper feeding, turn on Secure Feed mode by pressing
the
Ink and Scan to keys simultaneously. The MFC will then feed paper more
securely, but paper feeding will take a longer time. To turn off the Secure Feed
mode, simultaneously press
Ink and Scan to again.
Note
If PAPER JAM occurs frequently,
install the Card Stock Support in
the feeder and reload the paper.
Or, try reloading the paper
upsidedown.
