4-17. Installing the eye guard

CAUTION

Attach all safety devices before using the sewing machine.

If the machine is used without these devices attached, injury may result.

(1) Eye guard assembly

(2) Plain washers [2 pcs.]

(3) Screws [2 pcs.]

4-18. Setting the scrap holder for the knife

Scraps that have been cut by the knife will come out of the

venturi tube (1), so place the venturi tube (1) into a trash can

or similar to catch the scraps.

NOTE:

Do not cover the outlet of the venturi tube (1).

If the outlet is covered, it will not be possible for the

scraps cut by the knife to be recovered, and the scraps

will collect inside the knife base.
