■ Error code 89
Check that the paper smaller than the specified size is not loaded.
■ Error code 8A
Paper jam at the paper tray and the front cover.
Size Error DX
Specify the correct paper and press Start.
<User Check>
• Use the A4 or Letter size paper.
Step Cause Remedy
1 Main PCB failure Replace the main PCB ASSY.
Jam Tray
Remove the jammed paper from Tray, then press Start.
<User Check>
• Check if the paper is jammed at the paper tray and the front cover.
• Adjust the paper guide corresponding to the paper size.
• Check if the thickness of the paper is 60 to 105 g/m
2
.
• Check if too much paper is loaded in the tray.

Paper edge actuator catching on
some position
Correct the position of the paper edge
actuator.

Registration front actuator
catching on some position
Correct the position of the registration front
actuator.

Harness connection failure of
registration front/rear sensor PCB
ASSY
Check the harness connection of the
registration front/rear sensor PCB ASSY
and reconnect it.
4 Paper feeding kit worn out Replace the paper feeding kit.

High voltage power supply PCB
failure
Replace the high voltage power supply
PCB ASSY.

Registration front/rear sensor PCB
failure
Check the registration front/rear sensor
performance following the procedure
described in "Function code 32". If any
problem occurs, replace the regist frame
ASSY.
