Setting Up the Lamp

Insert the pin of the supplied power adapter into the DC power input on the underside of the

lamp. Plug the adapter into an electrical outlet.

Connecting to the FriendSync App

The Brookstone Friendship Lamp operates using the FriendSync mobile app which can be

downloaded from the Google Play Store and Apple App Store.

Setting Up the App

1. Download the FriendSync app and install to your device. Open the app and follow the

instructions to create a user account or log in to an existing one.

2. Tap the button on the top right corner of the main page and follow the directions to set

up and connect your lamp.

Connecting the Lamp

1. Enter the lamp into wi- connection mode by pressing and holding the [ ] and [ ]

buttons on the lamp for 3 seconds. The lamp will ash RED and GREEN in this mode.

2. When successfully connected, the lamp will ash GREEN. Once the lamp is connected,

you can change its name in the app. If connection is unsuccessful, the lamp will ash RED.

Powering ON/OFF

• Tap the [ ] button to power the lamp ON/OFF.

• When powered ON, the light will be in the same light mode it was in when last powered OFF.

Note: The lamp can be powered on by other connected users at any time. Unplugging the lamp

will completely disconnect it from other lamps.

Changing Light Color

• Tap the [ ] button to change the color of light.

• Adjust the brightness of the light with the [ ] and [ ] buttons.

Changing Light Modes

• Tap the [ ] button to cycle through the light modes.

• Adjust the brightness of the light with the [ ] and [ ] buttons.

• When connected with the FriendSync app and another user, the light modes will be shown

on their end, too.

Note: Light colors and modes can also be changed through the FriendSync Lamp app.
