MIB support
Brocade devices support the following standard management information base (MIB) modules:
• LLDP-MIB
• LLDP-EXT-DOT1-MIB
• LLDP-EXT-DOT3-MIB
• LLDP-EXT-MED-MIB
Syslog messages
Syslog messages for LLDP provide management applications with information related to MIB data
consistency and general status. These Syslog messages correspond to the lldpRemTablesChange
SNMP notifications. Refer to Enabling LLDP SNMP notifications and Syslog messages on page 178.
Syslog messages for LLDP-MED provide management applications with information related to topology
changes. These Syslog messages correspond to the lldpXMedTopologyChangeDetected SNMP
notifications. Refer to Enabling SNMP notifications and Syslog messagesfor LLDP-MED topology
changes on page 188.

This section describes how to enable and configure LLDP.
