Installing a DC power supply

CAUTION

Before beginning the installation, see the precautions in “Regulatory compliance” on page 50.

To install an DC power supply, complete the following steps.

1. If necessary, remove the captive screws located in the upper left and the bottom right of the

device.

2. If the empty power supply bay has a cover plate, remove the two screws near the edges of the

cover plate to unlock the plate, then remove the plate.

3. Remove the DC power supply from its packaging. (refer to Figure 20)

4. Insert the wires into the DC wiring assembly (refer to Figure 21).

NOTE

The wire size for DC plus and DC return must be 14AWG minimum

5. Use the wire tightening screws to secure the wires.
