5.2.2 Modify IP address in Windows ME / 98

This section describes the modification of IP address in Windows 98 or

Millennium Edition (ME).

To change the IP address on Windows 98/ME:

1.) Open the Network Configuration Windows -- From your Windows taskbar,

click Start -> Setting -> Control Panel -> Network.

2.) Choose TCP/IP -> <Network Adapter> (In this example, Network Adapter

is 3Com Fast EtherLink XL 10/100Mb TX Ethernet NIC) then click on

Properties button.

3. Choose Specify an IP address and enter the IP address to assign to your

PC. (In this example: IP: 192.168.0.2, subnet Mask: 255.255.255.0)
