4. Hardware and Software Preparation

4.1 Hardware Preparation

• Attach the power jack from the Power Adapter to the power inlet

connector at the back of HSA300A.

• Plug the Power Adapter into standard AC electrical socket on the wall.

• Connect the RJ11 port at the back of HSA300A to the POTS telephone

socket (RJ11) with the phone cord supplied.

• For Ethernet Modem installation, connect one end of the Ethernet

cable to the 10Base-T port at the back of HSA300A and the other end

to the RJ45 socket of the PC with a Ethernet 10Base-T Network

Interface Card (NIC) installed. If an Ethernet hub is being used, cable

will be needed to attach to uplink port of the hub.
