Self-Administration
The IP Office administrator may give select users the ability to change some of the phone settings themselves.
For example, button programming. The range of changes that the user can make depends on the phone type in
use.
On Hook Dialing
Avaya digital and IP telephones allow the user to make calls by just dialing the number on the keypad, without
having to lift the handset or pressing a speaker button. Usually the call progress can be monitored using the
speaker in the phone, on telephones that support handsfree the whole conversation can be had without having
to lift the handset.
