ADMS 44.22 Installation and Operation Manual
OPERATION
4.3 Set-up Commands
MM Enable Menu Mode (ACS 8.2)
Enables on interactive text menu for viewing and changing frequently
accessed setup parameters. Menu Mode is available only for unit ID=0. See
section 3.15 for more details.
CL[x] Front Panel Lock (ACS 8.2)
Locks out front panel switcher control buttons and rear panel remote control
inputs from user control.
[x] L = Lock; U = Unlock
CE[x] Enable Error Responses (ACS 8.2)
Enables error reporting for the unit. When Error Responses is Enabled and a
correctly formatted command is received and executed, the unit will respond
with RRR<CR><LF>. When an invalid command is received, the unit will
respond with EEE<CR><LF>.
When Error Responses is disabled, no responses are sent at all.
[x] Y = Enable; N = Disable
ECHO[x] Echo Characters To Terminal
For command-line control using a terminal emulator such as Windows®
HyperTerminal, ECHO returns all typed characters back to the terminal. If
ECHO is Off, then any characters typed in the terminal will not be seen. ECHO
is valid only for units with ID=0, and by default is disabled for units with ID>0.
[x] 0 = Echo Off; 1 = Echo On
OL[ic][x] Set Analog Input Operating Levels
Sets the nominal analog input operating level. The ADMS 44.22 is designed
with 20dB of headroom above the nominal operating level before digital clip-
ping occurs. Therefore a +10 dBV input signal will produce 0 dBFS with a
Consumer operating level, and a +24 dBu input signal will produce 0 dBFS
with a Pro operating level.
[x] 0 = Consumer (-10dBV); 1 = Pro (+4dBu)
SSS[x] Set Sample Clock Source
Sets the sample clock source for the unit. A Master can be set only to Internal or
Word Clock, and a Slave can be set only to Word Clock or Master ADMS. The
factory default for a Master unit is Internal, and Master ADMS for a Slave unit.
[x] 0 = Internal ; 1 = Word Clock; 2 = Master ADMS
Note: A Slave should never be set to Word Clock when the Master is set to Internal.
In this case the two units will become unsynchronized, and noise and pops
will be heard in the audio sent by the Slave.
