In the first position the water will be the coldest possible when the handle is turned all the way to hot.

To clean the cartridge screens: Shut off water from the main valve or from stops (1). Remove the handle (2), trim ring (3), trim sleeve (4), escutcheon (5) (if using stops) and unscrew bonnet nut (6). Carefully pull cartridge and sleeve assembly (7) from the valve body (8).

CLEANING AND CARE Care should be given to the cleaning of this product. Although its finish is extremely durable, it can be damaged by harsh abrasives or polish. To clean, simply wipe gently with a damp cloth and blot dry with a soft towel.
