Answering machine
Using the answering machine at the base

1. Press
to toggle between the 3 settings:
Answer and record, Answer only or Answer off. The setting is announced.

when the answering machine is off the blue light is off.
0 On, no messages, Answer & record mode
2 answering machine on, 2 messages are stored
2 ashing, you have at least 1 new message
9 ashing slowly, you have more than 9 old messages
ashing quickly, you have more than 9 new messages
– Answering machine memory full

8 Recording a message or memo (scrolling one segment at a time)
1-9 Speaker volume level, displayed when you press Vol- or Vol+
Answer only mode

If the recording memory becomes full while a caller is leaving a message, they will
hear “Thank you for calling” and the answering machine will hang up.
Any new callers will hear the Answer only message.
If the memory is full you must delete messages before your BT Stratus 1500 can
begin recording again.
