• Neveroverfillthecookingvesselwithoil,grease,waterorotherliquids.Followinstructionsonpage2toestablishproper
liquidlevel.Liquidlevelmustbedeterminedpriortoheatingliquidsoboil-overdoesnotoccurwhenfoodisadded.
• Neverallowoil/greasetogethotterthan400°F(200°C).Ifthetemperatureexceeds400°F(200°C)oriftheoilbeginsto
smoke,immediatelyturntheburnerorgassupplyOFF.Smokingoilisanindicationthattheoilistoohotandmayignite.Oil
ignitesatvaryingtemperatures;therefore,neverallowtheoiltoexceed400°F(200°C)andNEVERLEAVEHEATINGOIL
UNATTENDED.
• Alwaysuseacookingthermometertomonitortheheatofcookingoil.AthermometermaybeobtainedbycontactingThe
BrinkmannCorporationat1-800-527-0717.
• TheBrinkmannCorporationcarriesavarietyofcookingvesselstoaccommodateyourcookingneeds.10,24and30quart
potsmaybeusedforfryingorboiling.Potslargerthan30quartsmustnotbeusedforfrying.Thesepotsareonlysuitable
forboilingwithwater,vegetablestock,etc.Onlythe30quartpotissuitableforfryingturkeyswhenusedwithafryerstand
thathasbeencertifiedforfryingturkeys.
• Heatedliquidsremainatscaldingtemperatureslongafterthecookingprocess.Nevertouchcookingapplianceuntilliquids
havecooledto115°F(45°C)orless.
• Avoidbumpingintoboilingpotorpothandletopreventhotliquidspillsoroverturningpot.Boilingpotshouldonlybeused
withacookersuitableforlargepots.
• Ifafireshouldoccur,keepawayfromthecookingvesselandimmediatelycallyourFireDepartment.Donotattemptto
extinguishanoil/greasefirewithwater.Ifthereisalidorcoveronthecookingvessel,donotremoveitasoxygenwillfeeda
fire.
• Hotoilorwatercancausesevereburnsandpermanentdisfigurement;usecautionandcommonsensewhencookingwith
hotliquids.
• Donotmovecookingvesselwhileinuseorwhilecookingvesselcontainshotliquids.Usecautionwhenwalkingorstanding
nearcookingvesselassplatteredoilmayhavecreatedaslicksurface.
• Donotleavethecookingvesselunattended.Keepchildrenandpetsawayfromthecookingvesselatalltimes.Carefully
monitorallactivityaroundthecookingvesseltoavoidburnsorotherinjuries.
• Avoidbumpingoforimpactwiththecookingvesseltopreventspillageorsplashingofhotcookingliquid.Onlyusecooking
vesselwithheatsource(stove,gascooker,etc.)suitabletoaccommodatethesizeofyourcookingvessel.
• Neverdropfoodoraccessoriesintohotcookingliquid.Slowlylowerfoodandaccessoriesintothecookingliquidinorderto
preventsplashingoroverflowofliquid.Whenremovingfoodfromthecookingvesselcareshallbetakentoavoidburnsfrom
hotcookingliquids.
• Whenfryingwithoil/grease,allfoodproductsMUSTbecompletelythawedandtoweldriedbeforebeingplacedincooking
vessel.
• Donotplaceemptycookingvesselonheatsourceasitcouldmelt.Alwayshaveliquidincookingvesselpriortoplacingover
heat.
• Donotuselidwhencookingwithgreaseoroil.Whencookingwithoilorgrease,haveatypeBCorABCfireextinguisher
readilyavailable.Intheeventofanoil//greasefire,immediatelycalltheFireDepartment.Donotattempttoextinguishwith
water.AtypeBCorABCfireextinguishermay,insomecircumstances,containthefire.
• Alwayswearovenmitts/glovestoprotectyourhandsfromsplatterburns.Avoidtouchinghotsurfaces.
