PERFORMANCE CONTROL
ELECTRONIC GOVERNOR
Some V-Twin engines are equipped with the
Performance Control electronic governor system
for generator or welder applications. The electronic
governor provides more responsive governing than a
mechanical system. Engines equipped with the
Performance Control electronic governor system
have no mechanical governor components, and
cannot be retrofitted to mechanical governor engines.
The Performance Control electronic governor
control system consists of an electronic control
module, wiring and stop switch harness and a
throttle actuator. The control module is equipped
with an idle-down circuit for applications requiring
that feature. By cutting and removing the yellow or
red loop wire, the control module can be converted
to 50 cycle – 3000 RPM generator applications.
