Failureto‘Disable’theInstallationAutoCalibrationoptioncan
triggeraninadvertentrecalibrationofthesystem,undercertain
powerfailureconditions.
3.10.3 ForcedReCalibration
Option1:UsetheAutoCal functionintheNMS‘Maintenancescreen.Thisfu nctio nwillstorethe
calibrationvaluesinnonvolatilememory.
Option2: Enable“installationautocalibration”intheNMSand‘ApplySettings'.Disconnectthe
DCpo werandfiberopt iccablesfromtheradio. Poweruptheradio whilethefiberisstill
disconnected.TheAutoCalibrationwillstartassoonasthefiberopticcableisreconnectedtothe
radioterminal.
Whenaradioispowercycledw iththefiberconnectedtonetworkequipment,theradiowillusethe
calibrationvaluesstoredinnonvolatilememoryfro mthelastsuccessfulautocalibrationprocess
eveniftheenableAutoCalsettingbeingsetto ‘Enable’. Theradio linkwill comeupimmediately.
WhenaradiohasInstallationAutoCalibration”disabled,theradiowillusethecalibrationvalues
storedin nonvolatilememoryfromthelastsuccessfulautocalibrationprocess,regardlessofthe
fiberinterfaceconnectedtonetworkequipmentornot.
Shouldmovingthelinktoanewlocationorrealignmentofthe
linkbecomenecessary,thelinkmustberecalibratedpertheauto
calibrationproceduredescribedinSection3.10.
