• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug or after the appliance
malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest
authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.
• Only qualified service personnel should perform any servicing; take the product to the
appliance repair shop of your choice for inspection and repair.
• Do not put any stress on the power cord where it connects to the product, as the power
cord could fray and break.
SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS:
• Do NOT fill the kettle while it’s positioned on Base, dry any leaked water on the bottom of
the kettle before placing it on the base.
• Do not use this kettle to heat anything other than water.
• A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or
tripping over a longer cord. An extension cord is not recommended for use
with this product, but if one must be used:
− The marked electrical rating must be at least as great as that of the product
− Arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or
tabletop where it can be tripped over or pulled
