Pro tip: 1. The moisture meter has a temperature compensation function – if
you're using the moisture meter in an ambient temperature with wide
temperature change, wait for around 30 minutes to allow it to adjust before
using.
2. When testing wood, insert the pins into the wood perpendicular to the
wood’s fiber structure. The test data from pins perpendicular to the wood’s
fiber structure (across the grain) is the most accurate reading. Always test
data from pins perpendicular to the wood’s fiber structure.
