4. How to Hang Your Ceiling Fan
A
WARNING
The
fan
must
be
hung
with
at
least
7'
of
clearance
from
floor
to
blades
(Figure 14).
A
WARNING
To
avoid
possible
electrical
shock,
be
sure
electricity
is
turned
off
at
the
main
fuse
box
before
wiring.
NOTE:
If
you
are
not
sure
if
the
outle
t
box
is
grounded,
contact
a
licensed
e
lectrician
for
advice
, as
it
must
be
grounded
for
safe operation.
A
WARNING
Turning
off
wall
switch
is
not
sufficien
t.
To
avoid
possible
electrical
shock
,
be
sure
ele

tricity
is
turned
off
at
the
main
fuse
box
before
wiring
.
All
wiring
must
be
in
ac
c
ordance
with
National
a
nd
Lo
c
al
c
odes
and
the
ceiling
fan
must
be
properly
grounded
as
a
precaution

inst
possible
electrical
shock.
