The fan comes with black and white leads that a re
80-inches long.
Measure up appr ox imately 6 to 9-inches above top of
hanger ball /4 .5" downrod assembly (Figure 13).
Cut off exce ss leads and strip back insulation 1 /2-inch
from end of leads.

4. How to Hang Your Ceiling Fan
A WARNING
The fan must be hung with at least 7' of clearance from
floor to blades (Figure 14).
A WARNING
To avoid possible electrical shock, be sure electricity
is turned off at the main fuse box before wiring.
NOTE: If you are not sure if the outle t box is grounded,
contact a licensed e lectrician for advice , as it must be
grounded for safe operation.

Turning off wall switch is not sufficien t. To avoid
possible electrical shock , be sure ele c tricity is turned
off at the main fuse box before wiring . All wiring must
be in ac c ordance with National a nd Lo c al c odes and
the ceiling fan must be properly grounded as a
precaution aga inst possible electrical shock.

Disconnect electrical power to the branch circuit at the
circuit breaker or fuse box before attempting to install
the ceiling fan mounting plate on the outlet box .
