6.0 troublesHooting guide
The Servo Pro is easy to congure and operate, but
if problems do occur, the following guide can assist
troubleshooting.

6.1 troublesHooting examPle
The following example demonstrates a typical
troubleshootingprocess.
Assumethesestartingconditions:
1. Thehandwheelisengaged(pulledawayfromthe
actuator).
2. TheServoProhasneverbeencalibrated.
3. The Servo Pro has been congured to accept a
commandsignalof0-10VDC
4. Thecommandsignalfromtheprocesscontrolleris
actually4-20mADC,anditisconnectedinreverse
polarity – the positive conductor is connected to
INPUT(-)andthenegativeconductorisconnected
toINPUT(+)
ThePower LEDissolidgreenindicating the poweris
properly applied.
TheStatus LEDis ashinga single-red errorpattern.
The Status LED Flash Code in Section 4.4 indicates
thisisbecausethehandwheelisengaged,preventing
the Servo Pro from moving the actuator motor. This
error condition can be corrected by disengaging the
handwheel(pushingittowardtheactuator.)
NowtheStatusLEDisashingatwo-redFlashCode
error.Section4.4indicatesthattheServoProis not
receiving a proper command signal. This could be
causedbyvariousissues–inthiscase,Conguration
switches 1, 2 and 3 must be set toaccept the 4-20
mADCcommandsignalANDthepolarityofthewiring
must be corrected - the positive conductor must be
connected to INPUT (+) and the negative conductor
mustbeconnectedtoINPUT(-).Ifonlyonecorrection
ismade,thetwo-redFlashCodewillcontinue.BOTH
of these corrections must be made to establish the
proper command signal and clear the two-red Flash
Codeerror.
The Status LED is now ashing the two-green Flash
Code,indicatingthatthedefaultcalibrationvalueshave
beenloaded.Thiswillmovetheactuatorintheproper
general direction (increasing the command signal will
power the motor open and decreasing the command
signal will power the motor closed) but the Servo
Pro has not been exactly calibrated to this particular
actuator. This advisory can be cleared by performing
theCalibrationProcedureinSection3.1.
After the Calibration Procedure has completed
successfully, the Status LED is ashing the green
heartbeatpatternandisreadyforservice.
