Installation Instructions Step 1 – Engine off / relieve pressure Perform all installations with the engine off and hydraulic system pressure relieved. • Make sure engine is off and cool. • Disconnect the spark plug. • Relieve system pressure by moving any valve control levers back and forth several times (if applicable).
Installation Instructions Step 2 Tools Needed • Lubricate O-rings and threads on elbow fittings with clean oil. • Looking at fittings from end with nut/washer/O-ring assembly, turn nut clockwise as far as possible. • Using wrench, turn elbow fittings into the IN and OUT ports of the valve. Continue • Adjustable Wrenches • 1-1/4 Crowfoot Wrench • Torque Wrench turning until washer touches thread nearest wrench pad.
Installation Instructions Step 3 Tools Needed • Install valve to frame with supplied (3) Allen bolts, with washers and locknuts on inside of frame. Torque to 6 ft-lbs.
Installation Instructions Step 4 Tools Needed • Remove relief hose on relief body and replace by hand with JIC cap. Wrench tighten 1/4 turn past hand-tight.
Installation Instructions Step 5 Tools Needed • Reroute relief hose to valve inlet and thread to elbow fitting by hand. Wrench tighten 1/4 turn past hand-tight.
Installation Instructions Step 6 Note: if cooler kit is installed, please skip to next step. • Install large adapter fitting and torque to 100-133 ft.-lb. • Hold large adapter fitting and install small adapter fitting. Torque to 70-87 ft.-lb. • Thread return hose by hand onto small adapter fitting. Hold small adapter fitting and wrench tighten 1/4 turn past hand-tight.
Installation Instructions Step 7 Tools Needed Note: If cooler kit is installed, instead of routing the return hose to the valve outlet, route the valve to cooler return hose to the valve outlet. • Route return hose to valve outlet and thread to elbow fitting by hand. Wrench tighten 1/4 turn past hand-tight.
Installation Instructions Step 8 – Handle to Control Valve • • • • • Locate valve on unit. Slide clevis onto valve body, insert pins, and secure with supplied cotter pins. Slide control valve handle into the clevis slots on control valve. Align holes in handle with clevis holes. Insert the supplied pins through holes and secure with supplied cotter pins.
Installation Instructions Step 9 – Install fittings • • • • • • • • Tools Needed Install fittings in order shown to ports as indicated by A and B. Thread O-ring side of adapter fittings into the valve ports A and B finger tight. Torque fittings to valve at 37-46 ft.-lb. Slip rubber straps of dust plug and cap over adapter fittings. CAUTION: Never back off an installed pipe fitting to achieve proper alignment. Loosening installed pipe fittings will corrupt the seal and contribute to leakage and failure.
