About your Loop Hose Kit

This loop hose assembly is ideal for connecting supply and return couplers in a “loop” which is necessary to start the

hydraulic power unit when not coupled to any implement or application. If the loop hose kit isn’t installed and the

engine is attempted to be started the hydraulic system will be in a “dead head” state and damage could occur.

Installation Instructions Step 1 – Engine off / relieve pressure Perform all installations with the engine off and hydraulic system pressure relieved. Tools Needed • None • Make sure engine is off and cool. • Disconnect the spark plug. • Relieve system pressure by moving Valve Control Lever back and forth several times (if applicable). WARNING ALWAYS shut off the engine, disconnect the spark plug, and relieve system pressure before inspecting, cleaning, adjusting, or repairing the unit.

Installation Instructions Step 2 Tools Needed • Apply thread sealant to hose fittings (both ends).

Installation Instructions Step 3 Tools Needed • Place dust cap and dust plug loop over hose. • CAUTION: Never back off an installed pipe fitting to achieve proper alignment. Loosening installed pipe fittings will corrupt the seal and contribute to leakage and failure. • Screw hand-tight hose fittings with thread sealant applied into the quick disconnect fittings (male with cap and female with plug). • Wrench-tighten the fitting to 1.5-3.0 Turns Past Finger Tight position.

Operation Warm up procedure 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. Attach hose to unit by connecting quick disconnect fittings as shown. Follow start procedure from owner’s manual. Allow unit to warm up. Shut off engine. Disconnect hose. Position dust cap and plug in quick disconnect fittings to prevent contamination. Attach implement.
