gas connectors combine advanced corrosion protection
with state-of-the-art excess flow technology to deliver a superior gas
connector for home and family.
The Safety+PLUS
®
excess flow valve (EFV) helps prevent gas fires
and explosions due to line ruptures and disconnects at the appliance.
When triggered, the Safety+PLUS
®
valve immediately restricts gas flow
to a non-hazardous level (bypass flow) to help prevent a dangerous
release of gas into the home.
Gas flow is controlled at the appliance where the problem occurred;
the rest of the home's system will continue to function. Once the
gas line is properly repaired, the valve automatically restores normal
gas flow to the appliance.

In the event of a rupture or disconnect, unrestricted gas ow
forces the diaphragm (1) to rmly position itself against the seat (2).
This immediate action restricts gas ow to help avert a hazardous
build-up of gas.
