Watch Dog Selection.___________________
Two sets of jumpers, at the lower left side of the card, are
used to control the Watch Dog output function, this determines
which signals are used to generate an interrupt or reset signal or
are to be patched through to the watch dog output. The watch
dog enable register is an 8 bit read write register, see Chapter 1.
Figure 5-8. Watchdog Output Select.________________________________
FACTORY SET___________
RESLO BUS Approx 1 microsec LOW pulse on timeout
RESHI BUS Approx 1 microsec HIGH pulse on timeout
RESHI OUT Approx 1 microsec HIGH pulse on timeout
RESLO OUT Approx 1 microsec LOW pulse on timeout
GOODLO OUT LOW level= not timed out, low 50 milli sec
GOODHI OUT HIGH level = not timed out, hi 50 milli sec
BUS Jumpers.
The top two jumpers, are the BUS jumpers, determine
which pulse is gated onto the PC expansion BUS slots interrupt
and reset lines. To actually drive the PC’s irq and reset lines the
lines must be gated on, under program control, by setting bit 0
for the Reset and bit 1 for the Irq line in the watchdog register.
OUT Jumpers.
The lower four jumpers are the OUT jumpers determining
which signal may be output on the PA10 line. To actually output
this signal the PA10 out jumper must also be set.
OUT Via PA10 Jumpers.
The four pin jumper block at the upper left of the card
determines which signal is output, via an Opto isolator, on the
PA10 line. Either the PA10 line or the signal selected by the
Watch Dog OUT jumper may be routed to the edge connector.
