This manual is a complete description of how to configure
and install the Opto input output range of interface cards.
Information on register maps, programming and wiring up
the is in a companion manual, "The Interfacing Guide".
Chapter 1, Outputs, Inputs, Watchdog & Power,
describes the features common to many of the opto i/o cards.
The topics covered are the external user supplied power supply,
the output drivers types, the input circuit and the watch dog
timer.
Chapter 2, Opto DIO48 Configuration, shows you
how to configure the Opto DIO48 card ready for installation in
an expansion slots of your computer, detailing the address DIP
switches, card jumpers, i/o memory map and connector pinouts.
Chapters 3-6, shows you how to configure the Opto
DIO16, OUT48, OUT24 and IN24 cards respectively.
Chapter 7, Installation In The PC, shows how the
card can be installed an unused PC expansion slot.
